Have you wondered why in social media conversations the horizon limits to sites like Blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Slideshare and some popular bookmarking tools? Reason being: they are globally popular tools and are majorly appreciated and used by the ‘English’ chunk of the market. 6. Xing: Xing is a professional networking tool quite popular in countries like Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy and France. Popularly known to be widely used in Germany. Xing competes with LinkedIn and claims to have professionals from more than 200 countries. Xing has two features Basic and Premium. People can access Xing in different languages and the most popularly used language are French and German.

Renrein: Renrein is popularly known to be one amongst the largest Social Networking site built mainly for Chinese individuals as Chinese the only language people can use to be a part of the community. Hyves is available in six different languages; it offers all the usual amenities of a social networking site, including profiles, blogs, photos etc. I would not say there is anything great here it is almost like other usual Social Networking Sites.

10. Orkut: Orkut is a popular Social Networking tool in India and Brazil. Orkut is popular in Brazil with 54% market share and Orkut in India is the first most popular Social Networking site with more than 18 million registered users.
